Is there anyone who can’t be happy after being given a second chance to live? Of course not. Sudhir’s life started in Delhi, India, in the last year of the 1940s. He grew under the care of his mother since he lost his dad in his early years of childhood. Being a very hard-working lady, Choudhrie’s mother played both father and mother roles. So, when her son turned eight years old, she took her for extensive medical examination. The little Sudhir had a rare condition in his heart that detected: A leaking Valve, resulting in it not having systematic beats.
From this day onwards, Sudhir Choudhrie started having unending heart-related health issues, but his vision of becoming successful denominated his life despite the strenuous life. He worked hard in high school, giving him a direct entry to Delhi University, earning an economics degree.
After that, he started his career at the family business established by his paternal grandfather. He later left the family enterprise to shape his life, creating an export company based in India, Magnum Trading Company Ltd. After stabilizing the company, Sudhir Choudhrie stretched his hands to tourism after twenty years and later to aviation.
The year 1999 cannot escape in Sudhir’s mind since it is when he got a heart compatible with his, thus escaping death by few hours. The surgeon who performed the successful transplant is a US-based media personality, Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Throughout his twenty-two years of second life, Sudhir Choudhrie doesn’t compromise living a healthy life. Sudhir Choudhrie is out in changing the lives of other heart recipients by campaigning for organ donors through a charitable organization. He also gives good money to fund the Oxford University library under his name.
Other causes Sudhir’s philanthropy focuses on are education and medical-related research across the US, India, and UK. In his book, Sudhir encourages heart recipients to view the transplant as the beginning of a new phase of life, not the end.
