Philanthropic Activities of David McDonald

David McDonald initially served at the position of the project manager in the OSI Group industries before rising to his current position as the CEO and the president of the company. He holds another position in the North American meat institute as the chairman. In addition to this, he formally served as an independent director at Marfrig Global Food S.A. This was between the year 2008 and 2017 when the branches of OSI Group in Europe and Brazil were acquired by Marfrig Frigoríficos e Comércio de Alimentos. As the member of the board of the OSI Group Company, he is the director of the OSI International Foods Pty Limited located in Australia. He is a holder of a degree in animal science from Lowa University.

He was born and brought up in northeast Lowa on a farm. In the university, he became the Wallace E. Barron Outstanding Senior Award winner. His career profile began with the OSI Industries in Chicago. From his original position, he worked hard and advanced to become the president and the CEO of OSI Group.

David McDonald has ever been focusing on using the resources by the company to impact Lowa state. In so doing, he went on to become an active participant in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative. The program managed to arrange a trip for some students to the OSI facilities in China, and the company currently employs one of them. He has also introduced internship programs in the industries and aims at increasing the internship positions within the industries in the future.

David McDonald more over supports Alpha Gamma Rho which is included in his fraternity. He does this through scholarship funds. He was also the major supporter of the campaign by the Lowa state to build the state AGR house. He was also a participant in the naming of the Marvin J. Walter which is an arena belonging to the AGR Fraternity in the new Jeff and Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center.

David McDonald also extends his philanthropic act in also giving his time to serve in the St, Michael Parish in Wheaton III. Some of his achievements include the Award that he got from the ISU Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Award in 2004. Afterwards, he joined the Award in supporting it in rewarding. David McDonald is married to Malinda and has six children with the older one attending Lowa state. His life enthusiasm is working out to improve Lowa and supporting the students in the university.
