Among the many causes Dr. Walden has taken up are her commitment to attempting to encourage more females to take up plastic surgery as a career as only 851 women are board certified surgeons of the 8,100 total board certified plastic surgeons in the U.S.

Dr. Walden has recently been discussing the many different options available to women who are hoping to hold back the aging process through her own discipline of plastic surgery. The majority of the signs of aging can be seen on the face where we all see the majority of the effects of aging, including the many different forms of lines that form around the eyes and mouth; aging can also be seen with effects on the jaw line and neck that are on show at almost every time of the day. One of the most common procedures seen in plastic surgeons offices is the facelift work best on those shows aging signs, such as mid-face sagging, lines under and around the eyes, folds and creases between the nose and mouth, and a loose or sagging jaw and chin.

A facelift can have the effect of making a patient look between 10 and 15 years younger, another life changing form of plastic surgery is rhinoplasty that is used to reshape the nose of an individual; the reshaping, augmentation or reduction of a nose plays a major role in changing the life of an individual in many ways. Although many rhinoplasty surgeries take place for purely aesthetic reasons they can also play a role in improving breathing, repairing an injury, or correcting a birth defect.

An Austin native, Dr. Jennifer Walden believes the success she has achieved in her work can be seen in the fact around 91 percent of all plastic surgery procedures are performed on women who often feel more comfortable having a procedure performed by a woman.
